About Me

Hello Everyone!  

My name is Karen J Pleasant, affectionately known as Lady Pleasant or Lady P!    You may call me "Lady P'!  

Let me share just a few quick fun facts about me: 

-I am a devoted Christian 

-I am a wife of 31yrs (soon to be 32); of which I'm so proud to be his wife, I almost said 32, but I'll wait!

-I am a Pastor's Wife!

-I am somewhat of an introvert, but at times, an extrovert!   

-I have a huge FAMILY; 8 siblings!   WE had a lot of fun growing up together.  

-I love reading, crafts, singing/music, spending tons of time with my husband and family, cooking, shopping (shoes are one of my absolute favorite things to purchase), art, museums, traveling, and dining out (not too excited over fast food)... I love fine dining! 

-I love spending time with friends, laughing and chatting about life!

-I am that friend that can laugh with you, cry with you and go to battle in PRAYER for and with you!   

Something extra about me!  

I had a very tumultuous experience in the year of 2013.    It was a super trying time for my family.    I coded in the hospital twice (actually died twice, per the Chief of Staff).    My sickness came as a complete surprise to me, my husband, family, friends, and church members.    But hey, here I am to tell my story through my Speak-Lyfe Blog and hope that it brings encouragement and empowerment to you as women  that no matter what happens, keeping persevering!  

I don't view myself as someone that have a lot of advice to give you but I love to encourage others to pursue their dreams, goals and destiny.   I am an open and honest person that knows how to be a cheerleader for another sister.    I once read this phrase (or something like it):   "Queens know how to adjust the crown of another Queen" ..... and to add my own twist to this saying, "If one of the jewels fall out of a Queen's Crown, this Queen doesn't mind helping you repair your crown".      

As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community.    It may be things that you say back to me through "contact me" that may influence my next story!    You never know!    (smile) ... Encouragement from you is welcomed!
